what is the best multi-perpose abrasive to use in a small cabinet(30x24x24 work area)for general clean up of intakes and pulleys and stuff?

My opinion is glass beads seems to hold up longer than silica sand

Use the beads. I think it does a better job and is not as messy. You know when you pull somethiing out of the cabinet and there is sand in some of the corners or wherever it can hide. At least with the beads it bounces back off or the beads will fall of as soon as you pick it up.

Where can you buy glass beads and about how much does it cost? I use silica in my blast cabinet, and it is messy.
