2001 Camaro SS - had the engine out for repair, got it all back together. Everything is working great except my airbag light won't go off. Would could it be and what should I do to fix it? Do I need a pro/dealer?
Looks like I broke the clockspring inside the steering wheel while it was disconnected from the Rack. If you turn the wheel to far it snaps the clockspring which connects the airbag and the steering wheel controls (which are also not working). This part is $165 plus $30 shipping from GMpartsdirect.com. Yikes.. expensive way to learn to keep the wheel locked while not connected to the rack/pinion.
