I had this going over on the engine site but have moved it over to electrical.
I have added new fans, electric fuel pump and compressor. The compressor only goes on seldom. I upgraded to a new 105 amp cs130 type alternator from
Powermaster. I have the American autowire conversion kit. It jumpers the two out wires and two inner wires together at the regulator and gives you a adapter to connect to the old style connector to the new cs type. It only uses one wire. I killed the powermaster alternator. It worked fine for about 6 miles then began to squel real bad then eventually gave it up. 11.5 volts out. I went down and bought a new Autolite cs style 105 amp unit. I just installed it. It is putting out 14.2 volts however it is starting to squel again. It has the stock larger diametr v belt pulley on it. I have noticed difference in what companies reccomend. Autowire and Mad are different as is the tech site on this forum. Anybody have any ideas? I am getting pretty frustrated.
