why were alternators through 67-69 amp's so low like a 37 amp alternator? and y are todays 100 amp and 80 amp? was there a difference in amps from now and todays? like how would a 37 amp even keep a car running vs. a 100 amp over charging??
higher amperage is required due to the additional electrical components in todays cars.
the voltage regulator controls the amount of voltage and current going to the battery so there is no chance for the battery to get OVERCHARGED.
Unless the regulator is bad.
