I will soon be purchasing an Aluminum radiator for my 69 RS Camaro 383 Sbc.
I am leaning towards an Alumitech radiator.
I prefer the original style look.
I will also be installing a Classic Auto Air A/C system as well.
The dilemma I am having is electric fan choice.
The Spal dual 11 inch 2800 cfm combined fan kit or the Spal 16 inch 2360 cfm kit.
I am also considering keeping the original fan shroud on the car as well.
What are the pros and cons other than the obvious 440 cfm difference?
I’m thinking the 16” fan choice is the better way to go even though it moves a bit less air.
Is it possible to get a 185 deg temp sensor rather than a 195 deg temp and does anyone know how many amps these fans pull?

Thanks Team Camaro! :beers:

I'm running the dual 11" spal and I believe they run around 20A ea. I also am running the Alumitech radiator and they installed the mounting bolts on he radiator so the fans mounted without using the hanging brackets over the top. Alot cleaner look. I like the dual fans because I have one on the temp sensor and one I can turn on manually if needed, or when car is turn off.

I run the Taurus fan and have a good friend that runs the mark VIII fan. Those are what I would recommend. two speed fans that move 4500 cfm. he has a 383 in Miami and it stays cool, mine is a 385 in Utah (both in a 68, mine with air) that has yet to be tested, but the old 360 stayed cool with the fan on in 95* Miami weather!!
