I just did all this research before ordering my wheels for my 68. Everyone who runs an 8" wheel in the front will use minimum 4.75" backspacing, with 4.875" and 5" the most common I found. I ordered 4.875". For the rears, most use a 9", 9.5", or 10" wheel (with stock wheel wells) with 5 - 5.5" backspace. This is what I found, so I would not recommend these for your 67. I think it's important to have the wheels/tires tucked in the way you want it. To sacrifice the right dimensions to save some money could really give you a look you will not be happy with.

Good luck.

Stay away! As stated above the front backspace of choise is 4.75". You can get by with 4.5" not 4". Why get by when you make it right? Get the correct backspace in the end you'll be much happier.

Thank for the replies and the advise. It seemed like a great deal so thought I would ask. Since the back spacing is smaller than needed could be made up by adding a spacer? I defineitly don't understand the back spacing issue so forgive me if this is a dumb question. I had spacers on a set of rims I had on an s-10 before, I am guessing for this same reason.

Thanks.

Adding a spacer lessens the backspace. It would make the situation worse! The wheel would be pushed further out towards the fender. Not good. The spacer on you S10 was because you had too much backspace. Don't apologize - you will never know unless you ask.
