Researched and read everything in the archives but still can’t figure it out so here goes:

After putting everything back together, the key buzzer sounds as soon as I hook the battery up (which didn’t happen before removal). Wires are connected as follows:

Red wire from battery to horn relay to the screw marked “Bat” on front of relay.

Two black wires (one from under fender/steering column and one from wiring harness) to the screw next to the battery wire connection on front of relay.

Red and black wires (spade connector ends) from wiring harness attached to the two side by side prongs on bottom of horn relay.

Green wire (spade connector end) from wiring harness to third prong on bottom of relay.

Four wire connector to side of voltage regulator.

Black wire (spade connector end) from horns to prong under voltage regulator.

With the three wires with spade connectors removed from the relay and the black wire removed from the voltage regulator, everything runs fine and systems charges. Is there a wire hooked up wrong or do I now have a problem with the horn mechanism in the column?

The two screws on the relay are attached to a common piece of metal. One screw is for the battery to relay lead and the other screw is for the 12 gauge red wire that feeds the fuseblock, ign. switch, etc. The green wire goes from the third prong on the relay to the spade on the horn. There should be two 18 gauge wires with spades for the other two terminals on the relay. One goes to the horn button and the other goes to the "key in" contact on the ignition tumbler. The prong under the regulator is a ground. If the two black wires (one from under fender....) have ring terminals they are also grounds and should be attached to one of the relay mounting screws.

For further clarification, the green wire from the horns should attach to the drivers-side prong of the two prongs that are side-by-side under the relay. The black wire from the steering column will go to the sister prong next to the radiator support.

Sorry for not saying thanks sooner. Got the relay wiring correctly earlier today and everything works fine.

Couldn't of done it without you. Thanks again.
