Looking for anyone here running 15x8 with a 4.5 backspace wheels on the rear of a 69, What is your rear Tire Size? I need offsets of wheels and pics would be great, I am ready to buy some weld wheels and want to run a 15" wheel and a 275/60 or 275/50 tire. I don't want to pull the trigger until I hear from one of you running this combo or something close. Thanks.

Do a search on this one. I have asked this many times. I have Vette rallys all the way around on mine. 255/60 in back. rolled the fender lip for clearance. Getting new quarters put on, not messing around. Having my Rally's backspacing changed to 4.5 all the way around. Have 245/60 in front and they rub on full turns. Will go with a 225/60 in front.

I have 15 x 8 Vette rallys with 245/60 and 225/60 on the front. They work fine with no issues. Any bigger and you will have issues. In many cases the size difference is an inch or so . . .that is about 1/2 inch on top and bottom. Doesn't sound like much but can have rubbing issues. By the way I had to "space" my front inner fender wells back slightly to clear. Good luck.

Slick size of 28.5X10.5 fit fine, didn't even rub the shock absorber.

Dennis, i am running Pro Stars on my 68, 15x8, 4.5 spacing with 275/60r15 Drag radials. Its the biggest tire that i could fit in there.
On my '69 I'm running the Wheel Vintiques 15x8 Ralleys 4.5" backspace w/ 255/60/15,no rub,ever.
I could put 3 fat people in the back seat and hit bumps and it won't rub. Next time I buy tires for it I'd like to try 275/60/15,but I'm not sure if I can pull that off with no rub or not. I think my 255s are about 20 millimeters from the shock,so I know it would be tight, I think I would be ok with the quarter panel though.

I've got the 275/60/15s in the back on 15 X 8 4.5 BS running with 1 3/4 inch bump stop extenders and KYB Gas-A-Just stiff shocks. Ride all around with 4 people in the car and tires have never touched the fender.

I know you asked about a 69 but on my 67 I run 15x8 4.5 back space with a 255 60 15 in the rear. 235 60 15 in the front 15x7 with 4.125 back space. Hotchkiss front and rear springs.
I did a test with a 275 60 15 in the rear and think they would have worked with out issue.....I just did not like the sidewall hight for my application.
First shot is my 275 trail fit to the frame rail. I think it has plenty of room. The rest are current fit. Front with 235 60 15 do not rub, I have button head bolt on the lowest fender bolt in the rear.

That should work fine.
The only problem with 15" rims is you are restricted to BF Goodrich TA Radials.
I'm going with 17 X 8 because of the large selection of rubber. I do have a set of 15" Rallys for my Hoosier 275/60/15 drag radials.
