Car specs:
1968 camaro
350 aftermarket engine
original engine was a straight 6

Ok my battery is also draining, like the guys below me. But I think I am having a different problem. First thing I did was to go check the alternator. It was good. I replaced the voltage regultor,the damper thats connected to it. Still no good. I then did cont. check inbetween the alternator and the voltage regulator. Checks out good. I then did a voltage check coming off the alternator. I am pretty much in the dark. If anyone has any input that would be great! If anyone can point me in the direction to an electrical diagram on the net or somewhere chep to buy that would also be great.

please check the post "battery getting sucked". If you follow the suggestions you will find the problem, but I have found that it is easier to look at a light than to check an ohm reading while your pulling fuses. To each their own, I have done this many times and found the problem everytime.

Well I think I found the problem. I pulled the new voltage regulator off and put the new one back on. I then pulled the cover off of the old voltage regulator. There was a crcuit that was open that i grounded and it worked fine. But when i went to ground the voltage regulator it would stop working. so i think there is a short to ground somewhere. So I am just going to rip out the alternator, voltage regulator, and put the newer regulators in it, the one with the vlt reg in it already.
