I am in the process of restoring a '67 coupe. The previous owner had already replaced some things like door handles, side view mirrors, etc. I can't help notice that most of these relatively new things have chrome that is bubbling in several areas ( about 1/16" to 1/32" diameter bubbles uniformly distributed). I get the feeling that if I just go and replace these things, they'll end up the same way in just a couple years. Is there cheap chrome and good chrome? If so, how do I avoid getting the cheap stuff? Any insight would be helpful.
