I will be starting the BB swap in a week or two.
my 67 has manual steering, will be that bad with the wieght of the BB ,or should I swap to power steering,I worry about the lines and header fit.
I have a 71 monte and a 71 camaro to rob the power steering from!

thanks!

Is it a street car? If you have skinny's up front it won't be that bad. I have manual with a BB but this car was not, and won't be, for the street. Well, maybe on the weekends.

Try it, you can always make the change after you cruise around for a bit.

I have an '86 3/4 4 x 4 with a 454 and manual
steering. It is a handful in tight lots and the like but once rolling it's not too bad.

Some of it will depend on steering wheel size too. I had manual in my burb with 33x12.50's but kept the stock monster steering wheel in it until the conversion. After power I installed a nice wood wheel smaller in dia.

It's not to bad most of the time. But pullin into parking spots or into your garage, etc. That can be a real pain. I switched mine to power over the winter, I think it's one of the best things I've done to the car.
