What has to be done to install a big block heater in a '67 to replace the small block one??

Do you have to "pull a finder" or anything like that??? pdq67

Hey there PDQ, on the b/b heater, as fasr as I know you need the heater core itself and the box on the firewall, the outlets are different. I think that you need to move the inner fender panel out of the way a little. I took mine out 10 years ago. and havn't done one since. Galen Oh, and I have a freind at Isky sending me a tech book on the cam info. I will get with you when I get it. He was out of them till I think next week

Thanks much, Galen,

I was afraid of the fender moving after I looked at my car real close. I didn't change the heater when I installed the 409 years ago. It was a tight fit but everything cleared. Gotta go vote. I will get back to you. pdq67

The heater core covers are the same except for the holes that the core outlets come through. The small block heater cover is dimpled in the locations where the big block heater core hoses come through. all you need to do is cut them out with a hole saw. I think Classic Industries sells the small cover that goes around the heater core outlets. At least this is true for the '69. My cover was damaged and this is how I replaced it.

As related to the repro heater covers, isn't it amazing how two small holes in the middle of the cover can double the price?
