Whats up guys I figured Id start a build thread over here also. I started in it 4 years ago and I am finally in the assembly stage which is exciting. Here are the plans for the car:

LS3/T56,Tsp 231/236 cam, stainless works headers, PSI conversion harness

media blasted/rotissoried
G billet rear/Fab 9 shortened/Moser axles
Speedtech Subframe/Suspension
DSE tubs
Fesler (Baer 6S) Brakes
Ridetech Coilovers
Shaved rear tank filler hole
Vaporworx Tank
All rear body lines welded closed
Black Bentley leather Interior with red stiching
Cobra Misano carbon fiber seat
Carbon fiber hood, cowl, header, trunk,inner fenders, and spoiler
Underbody bedlined
All new sheet metal
Fesler FS905 wheels 19x12 rear with a 19x9 front wrapped in Nitto NT05's


West Coast Autocraft is giving me an insane black paint job. Heres his words on what they are doing:
Spies Hecker FP 1002 (2 coats)
FP 1002 mixed 50/50 with Spies Hecker 8015 clear (1 coat)
75% clear and 25% color (1 coat)
90% clear and 10% color (1 coat)
Spies Hecker 8015 clear (2 coats)
pull the car out of the booth and let it air dry for 3-5 days.
ti AF144Wet sand the entire car smooth with 800 grit and put it back in the booth.
Spies Hecker 8015 clear (6 coats)
Color sand (800, 1000, 1200, 1500) then polish

I've seen you over on the Pro-Touring site. What a beautiful car.
What gauges are those? Dakota VHX? I was just getting ready to purchase some of those. The wife's response... "You just bought all new Autometer". Mine back to her, "This thing will never be done because they're always coming out with better stuff"!
I'm liking that center console as well. I too built one, but now that I'm looking at the VHX gauges, I'll need to build another one! What are you installing up front? Radio? Keep the pics coming.

Thanks for the compliments. For the radio I have a Pioneer AVIC 940 BT and Kevin Oeste from V8tv made me this really cool dash insert that I need to weld in still then repaint the dash.
The gauges are VHX. They integrate the OBD2 computer and will show your Check engine light. Blinkers, high beams, 0-60, etc are all built in the cluster.

Thanks for the compliments guys. Not sure if they are the high clearance ones. They came with the subframe.

My intake manifold came yesterday and Im hoping to get it installed by Friday or next week. Depends on how soon I can get some AN fittings for it.

Well I have some more updates. The manifold is giving me issues. The flanges need to be removed and angled upward in order for it to clear the alternator and sanden. DOH!!!! The headers fit perfectly however I may get different valve cover since I fear the carbon ones might melt. The brakes are installed and look good. Everything will be under the dash even the brake lines. Remote reservoirs will be hidden in the cowl panel that way the firewall will stay perfectly smooth and clean.

Here is a shot of the headers and intake mounted. Firewall looks so much cleaner without all of the brake parts showing. Sexy!!!

Seen lots of PT cars built, on the net, shows etc and honestly so many of them end up being billet/bling polished aluminum everyplace to me it just takes away from the first gen.

I am loving this one, I love the carbon fiber and that intake is just flat out awesome.

What's the plan for the rear bumper? Grill...R/S, std or something custom?

I think your carbon parts are Avil? What's the fit like for the inner fenders, I have been looking at those.

Im hoping to have it totally done by the August Good guys in Pleasanton. Depends on how fast they can finish the interior once it runs.

Rear bumper will be tucked in a little closer with the bolt holes welded up. For the front grill I have an RS but may go back to the standard grill so the inner cooler can show through. I haven't tried fitting the inner fenders up yet. The trunk and hood fit like any other manufactured part. Good but not perfect. The trunk has rod welded around to make the gap perfect since we couldn't add to the trunk. Front fenders were stretched a little to get the hood gaps perfect.

Looks like you're having a great time making this uniquely your own style/build. Hats off. I'm a beliver that there is so much more to be had in the process of doing it vs. reaching the goal so enjoy the last of your phases as much as you can. But after 4 yrs. I'm sure your very eager to go out and rip up some pavement.
