My 68 camaro came to me with front disc brakes single piston calipers. My understanding is that in 68 it would have come from the factory with dual piston calipers, is this correct? Also at the master cylinder I only have a disturbution block, should it also have a porpertioning valve? Or isthis only needed with dual piston caliper brakes? I just purchased a new stainless steel brake line kit and it came with 5 lines.Would the extra line be because of the porpertioning valve. I have a factory assembly manual but cant find it in there. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Can only help on a one question
Yes it should be 4 piston.
Check around page 20,74,76,233 to 237. All brake related pages depending on if yours are power assist or not.Based on 67 manual, but should be close.
That's all I know, still learning.

My 67 has the 2 piston set up and I didn't bother with a prop valve and the car stops great. I have yet to have the rears lock first hards as I try.
The line you refer to is indeed for the prop. vavle set up.
I threw it in the toolbox.
