Hey guys,

I just picked up a 73 Camaro LT for next to nothing. I took it out for a little test spin, and hit a pothole with the left front.. holy cow! The amount of bump steer (the whole nose moved over A LOT) suprised me. The suspension is all stock- a little loose needing a arm bushings, but not horrible. I was curious if this is a pretty normal issue with the 70-73 cars. Thanks for the info ahead of time!

Bump steer, no.
Bottoming out, yes! With a little lowering, the front will be on the bump stops pretty quickly. It's best to not lower the front much at all and retain some suspension travel.
It's likely you have worn suspension parts and the steering box itself can get loose, there is an adjustment screw on top.
