Just about to finish the resto on a '67 RS and it's time for wheels. One friend likes the original look of rallys and another likes new ARs. Hmmm. Now I can't decide either. Who want to vote for original or extra crispy? Help me decide, guys !

if you kept the stock ride height - original look of rallys...

if you lowered it - something new...

I agree. If it's stock looking on the inside & out go for the original Rally's. I like the Rally's. Always have, always will. But if it's the resto-mod/pro-touring look American Racing wheels will look nice too.

Whatever you do, don't put IROC-Z wheels on it. I love IROC's but IROC wheels on a first gen? Yuck!! :noway:

Yes, it's all stock inside and out. Driven by a UofI professor for 30 years! Now that we're thinking rallys, do you guys have a favorite place to buy them?

You can buy them at www.drclassic.com or www.thepartsplaceinc.com
I bought two 15x8 Rally's from the parts place and they are sitting in my garage. They sell them painted in various sizes the correct factory grey/gray/silver.

Try: Billet Vintiques
Billet Chevy Style Rallye
Billet Chevy Style Rallye is custom built to your specifications. The Billet Rallye is a rotory forged fully polished billet aluminum wheel. Allow approximately 4-8 weeks delivery. Derby Cap sold separately.

that's an expensive venture with billets. wheel vintiques also makes cheaper steel rally wheels in modern sizes. mine are 17x8 in front, 17x9 in the rear. they are heavier, but remarkably cheaper. heres a pic...

I have an original 68 with rally's and am looking to go with american racing torque thrust II's. I just love the way they look.

Check Ebay under "wheels, tires, and parts". Then search for Camaro or ralley wheels. You can generally find a complete set with rings and caps for $200-$250.
