Well after fixing tranmission line leaks from last Saturday, I finished breaking in my cam this weekend. Everythying went fine, but I have a question....

My cooling system is a bit of an experiment. I'm using an aluminum rad from a newer Chev half ton and an electric fan from v6 chevy car. The fan's shroud pretty much completly covers the entire rad so I can't beleive that it won't pull as much air as a stock mech fan. The motor never got over 170 - 175 during the cam break-in. I think it's going to work!!! My question is, has anyone had cooling problems even though their system kept things cool during break-in? I know there's no load on the engine as it's reving, but there's also no additional air being pushed in the rad as when driving.

Just not sure what to make of my results...

Thanks
Robb

Glad things went well. What was the outside air temp and the temp in the garage you were working in like. You're off to a good start but unless you have a way of running in warm/hot weather you won't know for sure.
