Well I decided it is time to put a real cam in my car. Here is the low down.
68 camaro
TH 400
Gen 6 454, Motec EFI, 75lb injectors, headers 2" primaries into 3" flowmaster exhaust, cast iron heads with mild port work; 2.19/1.88 valves. Forged pisons w/8:1 compression. Y-7 Vortech Supercharger currently making 10-12 psi. Current cam (don't Laugh).
gross lift .511/.511
duration at .050" int 218 ex 224
lobe seperation 110
TCI Converter w/ballon plates stalls around 2000. 12 bolt 3:73 gears.
Car weighs 3700 lbs plus me!! another 200lbs
stock suspension with 8" slicks and slapper bars(going to buy drag shocks and springs, to hopefully be able to hook the car up on the street)
Best pass 10.83/124 mph
The car is street with a little strip time.
I have talked to several cam companies to get help. there recemendations are everything from very mild to crazy wild!!
I want a car that is still streetable but a sleeper on the track.
Any ideas? I dont won't crazy wild but defintely more.
