I have a BBC car and I am looking for clearence... Has anyone done a M-cylinder swap to a wilwood or another aftermarket type?.. An easy direct bolt in is what I'm looking for.. 4 wheel disc car.. Thanks for any help or advice!...
I think they are 10" dual pisto SSBC's up front and wilwood out back... I have a stock 1" bore here now. I would like something a bit smaller... I have not driven the car since 86'.. http://www.baitpump.com/gurch/FBCogDrive.jpg
The next logical step is a 15/16" bore manual master cyl, Baer Brakes sells a 15/16" bore that bolts in. The front and rear reservoirs are reversed from what GM uses. Get one with a deep hole in the piston for use with a manual brake pushrod. There are 7/8" and 13/16" bores available for Ford models in the early 70's but the mounting holes are a slightly different spacing, and the ports are on the engine side.
