Appears to be relatively expensive even though the Nissan transmission is less expensive than a T56. The gearing is not ideal and the shifter location may be a problematic in a 1st Gen.

It's worth doing more research for sure.

Yea thats what I keep circling around by time you factor in adaptors need to get it to work its cost same as a t56. I am also concerned about the shifter location. I hear t56 with the holley mounts not cutting is needed.

T56 you do need to mod tunnel no matter waht anybody says to get proper driveline angles.

After a few T56s I decided a TKX 5 Speed is a better way to go. No tunnel mods and who needs 2 overdrive gears?
