I have a very original 69 327, powerglide auto, convertible with low miles. It has had a recent frame off resto. I would like to convert the column shift to a console shift.I would prefer a Horseshoe handle but would not mind a T-stick. Is there a complete kit available that includes the handles and all the little extras or do I need to buy the console kit + shift handle, etc, etc, etc. If the latter, has anyone done this and what are all the parts that are required. Is the steering column shroud,( minus the column shift handle hole )available aftermarket or does it need to be found used.
I want to have all the required components in hand before I begin.
Finally is there any reason I should not do this assuming it is done high end.

Thanks

I ordered a console kit recently for my 68. If you don't mind grinding here and there on the kit to make things work it would probably be fine. I have not seen a kit that includes the shifter/wiring/console all together.
