I got my old plug wires out the other day to clean them up and use them if I could. After I cleaned them I checked them to see if they were any good. Of course none of the wires were any good.

But the interesting thing I found, my set of wires had two different date codes. There is two wires with the 4-Q-66 code and the others had the 3-Q-66 code. I believe the 3-Q-66 code is the right code for a Jan 67 build Camaro. Does anyone know where the 4-Q-66 comes from?

Today I called Dan at Lectric Limited, the company that makes most of the date coded plug wires. He said my question has a simple answer in that the 3 in the date code 3-Q-66 just means the 3rd quarter of 1966. The wires with the 4 on them were made in the 4th quarter of 66. He said my news wires will just have the 3-Q-66 code because they didn't see many made for Camaro in the 4th quarter of 66.
