i have been told by many that my 68 camaro has cruise control, basically on the turn signal knob it has a push in button like .. is there any way to determine why its not working, also im a little confused as to where the actual box if there is one is located under the hood, i have seen a ball like chain but i thought that was for the water pump... lol, i did some research here under search but there isnt alot of talk about 68 camaros with cruise control even though it was an option in 68 please help thanks..

The box sits on the top of the drivers side inner fenderwell. a speedometer cable attaches to it from the transmission, and another connects from the box to the speedometer. The vacuum diaphragm (the part with the chain on it) attaches to the firewall back by the accelerator linkage. It has a vacuum line that connects it to the box, and the box has another vacuum line to the engine. There is a wiring harness that connects the box to the engage/disengage switch on the end of the blinker stalk, and to another brake/clutch switch that disengages the cruise control.

There should also be a vacuum valve attached to the brake pedal bracket.

My 67 has cruise also. If you need help on pictures, I have alot of them on my link on the bottom of this text. Pictures of the cruise control should be under the "before pictures". If you need more help I would be happy to help.
