I made a rather alarming discovery today while putting new shackle bushings in the nova...I noticed that since I put this flowmaster force II system on the car (crossflow muffler setup) that it now looks like there is no way to a do a rear gear swap without removing the rear end from the car. I knew the rear sway bar was going to have to be pulled, but since I got the whole exhaust system welded up, there is no way to move it around enough to get the gear out without either hacking up the exhaust or removing the rear end. Why me??? What worries me is that so far nearly every bolt I have removed from the rear of the car I have had to either cut or beat the (*&^$ out of it to get it out. Have any of you run into a problem like this? I know a bunch of you run crossflow mufflers on your cars...ever have any trouble doing a r&p swap because the muffler was in the way?

Drop the rear shocks and shackles, let the rear diff.swing down on the front spring mounts until you can get the cover off.I removed my diff.in this fashion because the exhaust prevented it from coming out from the side.I know it's a pain, but you won't have to hack up the exhaust.
