Lets get this going...

I bought this car on May 6th of this year as a rusted out rodent infested basket case that hadn't been on the road in likely 25+ years. It's a very early 08E of 66 car & was born a 6cyl 3 speed in Nantucket blue with Black Standard interior, although it was white with no interior when I bought it.

During the 6 month Rotisserie build, I replaced both rear quarters, outer wheel houses, trunk drop off's, the driver side door, the hood, upper & lower valances, one fender extension and several sections of the floor. I did the entire car at home in my garage including the Marina Blue BCCC & Alpine White D91 stripe buried under the clear. I added a 3 turn lock to lock power steering along with a complete Power Disc Brake kit from "The right Stuff".

The Engine is a GM Goodwrench Crate 350 with a Torker intake, 600 Holley, along with a full Flowmaster American Thunder 2.5" exhaust system. The Trans is a Turbo 350 Automatic shifted thru a B&M Z Gate shifter. A 68 Camaro 2.73 rear end wraps up the running gear.

The interior is done in Black Standard.

The wheels are 15x7 GM Rally wheels wrapped with 215x65 Cooper Cobra tires. The car has been on the road for a month now & even though it's safe to say It wont be making the the "Top Ten List" in the 405 ;) it's still a very nice driving car that I would drive anywhere, in fact my Daughter has even been driving it to High school. :D

Here is my 67RS

It isn't a 100 % numbers matching, have a protecto plate car, but is a real RS 2GL 3L that was built
The way it was wanted. Starting with a 4 bolt main block it was built into a very strong and mostly
Bullet proof 327 (331) with respectable Dyno numbers of 450hp/400tq @ 6000rpm. Trans is a M22 4 speed
Linked to a 12 bolt rear with Eaton 3:73 gears. She has welded frame connectors, traction bars, tubular control arms, and rack and pinion steering to tame the road down. Paint is NN Medeira Maroon with Black stripes. Interior is 760 black standard buckets. She has about 2500 very fun miles on her since completion. That's partially it in a quick nutshell, but she is My Dream Car......Thanks

can t get pictures to download
What device or weblocation are you downloaded them from?

As premium member you should be able to upload your photos direct to Team Camaro in the thread.
If you are at your storage limit for premium membership take a look if you already have the shots you want in your albums, or upload them to your garage storage.
You can image tag them from those locations without duplicating the photos multiple times. Let me know if you are still having issues.

Do we have another contestant in the wings, sitting on the fence or otherwise ready to nominate their ride? Two more days. :) Get at it.

I bought this plain jane 1969 v8 4spd Camaro in the fall of 1985. It had a little bondo around the right rear wheel housing and some rust behind each wheel. Vinyl top was shrinking. I was 21 years old and just ecstatic to have classic Camaro. Following summer I purchased and installed an ‘SS’ hood and 3:31 post from a guy parting out an original ‘SS’. The car lived on cement and gravel floors in various sheds on the family farm when not being driven.
Time goes on, GF to wife. Kid, commitments and aging parents. The car got less use and more haggard looking. Some years I didn’t even get the car out as I was somewhat ashamed of the state my iconic Camaro had become.
A couple years back I told my wife we either need to sell the car and let someone else enjoy it more than we are, or we need to fix it up right and enjoy it ourselves.
So after three dead end searches for a body shop that would call back or not be naming their new yacht after me, a co-worker put me on to a guy who’d done some work for him. I could not have found a better guy. Dan let me help with the car and explained/answered every question I had.
So, in a nutshell…
Body off the frame
Frame sandblasted and painted
New rubber body mounts
New vinyl top
New front and rear glass
New gas tank
Sandblasted and cleared the original front to brake line and gas line.
New front springs and bushings
Restored original master cylinder
All original interior (except for new carpet)
I’m sure there is more that I’m forgetting
Got the car back this past summer and then put everything back together just in time for a couple Sunday drives before the deer started coming out and we put the car away. Looking forward to a whole summer of enjoying our new…old ride.
