My daughter almost run the weiner dog over on a busy street close by, and when she got out to see if he was OK, the other one come to her as well. It was snowing very hard, and they seemed lost and cold. Well hereis the ads I put in, trying to have some fun with it all. Can you believe someone e-mailed me to see if I was really torturing these guys? I hated to see them go to the pound, but our new pup is close to going into heat, and I am not ready to be called "granpa"........ :beers: :beers: :beers:

Mike..
You have done all you can for them two. You had to send them away due to the situation there. I can't see why anyone would email you in a negative way about the dogs. Its not like you said..." If no one claims these two, we will have a Taco and Hot Dog Dinner " even just joking ! They are a team as we can see so its best that they are together in the shelter.

I've found that the "chinese belly rub" torture, when applied to a cat, can get about 20 claws and that many teeth latched on to your hand

And they won't talk either! :D

True story. My in laws returned from a visit in NC last week. Father-in-law goes to the doggy hotel to pick up their dog "Lady". Now, Lady is an irish setter mix, red as red can be. My F-I-L comes home with a golden lab, about 12 years old. Chubby with a lump on its head. My M-I-L mentions the odd color, size, and "wrong dog" to him. He replies, "I wonder who got Lady". He went back and got the right dog.

God yes that hurts! I tried that very move on my neighbors six toed cat, and it took only a second or two to realize I was in big trouble! Me and the cat now have a mutual understanding, minimum of 25 feet apart at any time................I gues my Doctor Doolittle powers fail me with cats. :noway:

:hurray: Mike you raised a good daughter, not many people would have taken time out of there busy schedule to rescue two dogs. Never the less put a wet dog in there car because of the "wet dog" smell. You are a good man for doing everything possible for these dogs and even with a good sense of humor. You deserve a pat on the back and a cold beer.... :beers: It's nice to know that there are still some good people around.

Take Care. . .

Well we just called the pound, both dogs are doing well, caged together, and the officer says they will be adopted if the owners cannot be found. I will probally try to find a home for them through friends, but to address the bigger problem, "spay & neuter", that also goes for people who cannot afford big families. Just so many resources on this planet, and to quote Apu from the Simpsons, "I have never seen such a dangerously underpopulated country", welllllll..................................................
