GM door and trunk locks are available and easily replaceable. I think you can even get matched sets from The Paddock and Classic Industries. That way your door and trunk locks will match, and you will have a separate key for the ignition. I actually got new door locks only at Autozone for about $12.00, and will have my ignition recoded to match. Good Luck.

ekg, talk to your dealer before buying new cylinders. One of my cars, I think it was my 82, had missing keys. The dealer ask me some questions about the car and had a set made. Somewhere there is a code or something they went by. I cannot, however, for the life of me remember where.

mark,

they use the VIN # on many of the cars with the computer chip keys, because the key code has to match the computer code, or it wont work, for non computer cars, they can match the key tumblers by the orig. GM lock code # stamped onto the lock cylinder itself.
