Ok...as some of you know I have a big cam and a problem with my idle can't seem to get it to idle under 1000-1100rpm..And at that RPM I have the idle screw turned out so much I am no longer in the idle circuit but in my primary circuit and the primaries are dribbling fuel..It then loads up and dies...

Some of you guys have recommended drilling the butterflies..Need to know what size drill bit to start with??? Should I drill both butterflies??? Is there any particular place to drill the holes???

What kind of carb. are you running? If it's a Holley, there's a screw on the bottom that can be adjusted to open the secondaries just a bit. I'd try this first... if it is a Holley. I had the same problem, this adjustment solved the problem for me. If it's an Edelbrock, I don't know if there is any other way other than to drill. I know from Holleys web site, they suggest drilling a 1/64- 1/8 hole in each of the primary throttle plates. www.holley.com/HiOctn/TechServ/TechInfo/Trblsht.html

IMO Drill the smallest you can, I think 1/32" is small enough, 1/64" is kinda difficult to drill anyway. If not enough you will have a choice to go with a higher diameter drill.
