I own a 68 camaro with a 400 small block and i am getting a new Edelbrock 4 barrel put on. I'd like advise on carbs please. First is Edelbrock 4 barrel a good choice and what is the difference between electric or manual choke ? thanks
ideally, i'd use a hot air style choke.
but since that's not really an easy option, then the electric is the way to go. get it set up right, and your car will start up as good as anything with efi and run perfect right away.
Difference is with the electric choke all you do is hook up a hot wire from fuse block(ignition on) to the choke. On the manual you either run a choke pull cable that you adjust from inside the car or make a piece of wire to hold the choke at a set position. I would go with an electric choke. Depending on how the temp outside changes you may only have to set it once.
