X2 what Everett said. I drilled a hole through the RS rubber grommet (for vacuum lines) to get through the firewall.

IGN spade of fuse panel
This is your best spot. I probed with a volt/ohm meter all over the engine compartment for a clean 12 volts while engine is running only (you don't want constant battery with engine off, or your choke will always be open). I found no "clean" 12 volts meaning it did not drop during another accessory operation.

Use the IGN spade from the fuse panel (inside, at left). Clearly marked "IGN".
