big block.still have the old point regulator, who sells the electronic kind? will having points distributor effect the electronic voltage regulator?

I don't think it will effect anything. I have a solid state regulator on my car. I got it from Classic industries. You could possibly get one from a regular auto parts store.

I just bought the Tuff Stuff one from xxxx for $20. The regulator base says USA on it. I did notice a .5-.7 + increase in VDC at idle with the solid state VR. I assume it will work just fine with a points dizzy but I have a Pertronix kit in mine

Edit: I bought mine from Amazon for $22.54 as part # GM10DN. I could not determine if any of the VR sold on RockAuto were solid state

Solid state VR and points ignition here. No problems.
Edit:
Forgot to mention I bought mine from Autozone. Duralast VR715 @ $55.
Pretty sure it's re-branded Wells. I needed mine asap so I didn't do much
price shopping. There now seems to be a huge price gap depending on supplier.
