I just rebuilt my 12-bolt and have seen some threads that mention "c-clip eliminators". What are they? What do they do?

There are kits that convert your axles to press on wheel bearings so you no longer use the C clips on the ends of the axles to hold them in.

There is a bearing housing that bolts on the end of the housing. I think you need to saw off some of the housing end to install the kit.
They are prone to leaking and not a good deal for a street car. It's a cheap way to convert for drag racing safety. If an axle breaks, the wheel won't fall off the car.

If you have disk brakes, is like having eliminators.

Imho, yes it is but NOT as good as doing a full Ford axle housing end conversion!!

Plus, don't know if they will pass tech at the Strip as a true broken axle retaining mechanism?? pdq67
