Change the oil after the first few miles, there's always some machining crap that won't come out when it's cleaned. Once you've done that, drive it like you intend to drive from now on. Personally, I like to take it a bit easy for the first few miles to make sure oil pressure, temp, etc. are stable and everything is working as it's supposed to. Then I like to drive it like I stole it. I build my own stuff, so I know exactly how it's assembled and machined.

first few miles as n how many i know know whens it's safe to get on it
Once you have gone thru a complete heat cycle and have no issues with oil pressure and temp..as posted above^..drop the oil and filter and refill.
A few laps around town will suffice..say 10 miles.
Moly rings with the correct 400 hone should seat on the starter motor alone..revving the engine with no load is not good.
The bottom end better be broken in on the first rotation..the rings can benefit with some cyl pressure..so do not be shy on the loud pedal after the break in oil and filter have been replaced.

I changed my oil at 0 miles after break in 2500 rpm for 30 minutes. In your case..10 miles around the block..drop the oil and filter and you are good to go with whatever throttle input you want to throw at the v6.What you are looking to do here is.. trap the assembly junk in the filter and remove it with an oil and filter change.

That will not make it knock.
