I purchased a rebuild kit from Heartbeat to rebuild my original hurst shifter for my 69. I tried to be careful and take pics when I tore it down. The pics are out of focus, so I'm unsure as to the specific installation of the "wavey"washers and the standard washers that came with the kit. Anyone have info, or an exploded view of the shifter? - appreciate it guys.

It's never good to use the term "exploded view" when referring to ones power train.:noway:

Washer/nut Orientation - When Hurst rebuilt my OEM shifter back in the early 80's they sent me extra hardware shown below (nut, bolt, plastic washer and wave washer) in the order it gets installed. It's also on my web pages http://www.nastyz28.com/~copo/shifter_area.htm. They would not give me the torque spec on the nut, they said it was confidential. Washers go where the red arrows are.
