I have a 67 camaro that I just bought a console mount 8 track player for, Im looking for any pictures that anyone might have of these. I was told that 67-69 used the same ones but from what I can find, there are three kinds: front console mount, rear console mount, and underdash mount. the one I bought is out of a 69, it has two round chrome knobs, I think the correct 67 player has four chrome knobs. please send pics or info, links... thank you.

I don't think the 67's had a front facing rear console mounted 8 track. They used an underdash center mount unit unless you had the U17 gauge cluster, and if you had the gauges, you got the unit installed under the glove box area of the dash.

The 68, and 69 console mounted units have 4 knobs, not two. The under dash units only have two knobs. What kind of part numbers are on the paper tag.

Heres a link to an ebay auction for a 69 under dash player, for use without multiplex radio.

The 2 knob style was used on 69's without consoles. The 4 knobe style in 69 was console equiped cars. 69 didn't have a 4 knob under-dash unit..68's had the 4 knob under-dash unit for non-console cars and the 4 knob forward facing unit for console equiped cars, NO 2 knob units for 68. 67 had a 4 knob unit that either mounted on the front of the console or under the dash for non-console cars. 8-tracks were not available from the factory when console gauges were ordered, but the dealer would install them under the glove box. NO 2 knob units or forward facing units available in 67..

Here's the under dash console mounted type in my 67 RS Conv. Note that you have to take the shifter out of park to insert a tape!
