Occasionally I see various lengths of flexible bar sanders on TV car shows that use the adheasive backed paper that come off of rolls. Works great for bodies with contours. I have seen sizes as small as about 2" x 8" to more than 24". I have not been able to locate anything like them at our local body shop stores on or the internet. Can't believe they are that hard to find, but I have not been able to locate any. Someone have an idea of where these can be purchased? Thanks for the help.

Eastwood sells them, and they are on Ebay all the time. They are not cheap though, a 36" one will run you close to $200, a 12" one is about 60 bucks. They are made out of foam and have 3 stiffening rods inserted into them so they can vary the overall stiffness of the board. They seem to be pretty neat, but not at the prices currently being asked, unless you paint for a living of course.

This is the person that makes them. http://www.adjustflexsand.com/products.html I have the 21" one. I haven't bought any others because the 21" one seems to do everything I need "so far :) ". This one tool has saved me hundreds of hours. The most incredible thing I have ever used it for is getting that shape on the solder seam that holds the roof on absolutely perfect in about 10 minutes. Buy one you won't regret it. There's a bunch of people on Team Chevelle that have them and really like them.
