You'll have to patch the current hole and then cut the correct hole for the factory style shifter. I used Shiftworks for the shifter on my 67 that was originally a column shift. Search this site for correct hole location and dimensions.

Thanks. I'll check it out.Shiftworks is a good company. I suspect you could get the PG detent plate as they refurbish stock floor shifters to the TH350 detent plate but assume they could also just provide it with the PG one. It would be a rod shift attachment to the PG
I haven't the car since I bought the car. Once the fix the electrical problems and oil leak, I'll get the trans tunnel and floors repaired. Thanks.That looks just awful to use and fix.
