He's asking about rear frame rails, not the subframe. The only differences between a big block and small block subframe are the engine stands and the trans cross member.I wouldn't think there is any difference in the sub frame rails between 67, 68, and even 69. I know the suspension arms were slightly different between the years, but that is all I can think of at the moment. There are Big Block / Small block differences. But I have been wrong before soo.....
To save 50 bucks it might be worth it.Since the use the same floor pans, Same leaf springs, that the added length is behind the shackle mount - Do you agree that it would be possible, with minimal mods, to shorten the 68 rail to fit my 67?
Wish I could afford the Art morrison setup - A bit out of my price rangeTo save 50 bucks it might be worth it.
The back of the frame rail has some flanges that are bent 90 degrees. You will have to cut the frame rail and weld back on the flanges.
You will have to drill the frame rail where the bottom bump stop goes and weld two captive nuts. You should fill in the side bump stop captive nuts.
The emergency brake cable bracket is spot welded to the frame rail. They are easy to remove.
You could buy an Art Morrison rear suspension. The different models of suspension comes with frame rails. :grin2:
