Fuzzy Dice hanging from the mirror

I watched an old episode of Garge Squad the other day. One of the few "car shows" I like on TV. But the guy had an old dirty pair of "Fuzzy Dice" hanging from his mirror in his Car that has sat apart in the garage for years. Anyway, I got to thinking...

Old School hot rodders ... what did you have hanging from your mirror back in the day when 8 tracks where cool???

High School graduation tassels until the cops gave me a second ticket. It is illegal to have an obstruction of the view of the driver. Illinois revenue law.

Bandana, graduation tassel thing or the garter like @ilikeike .

Nothing for years now, I like to see all I can because people either can't drive or just don't have any care or concern for anyone else's well being, property or their life. I remember some people used to hang a CD from their mirror, the sun would hit it and dang near blind you.

Nothing, just another reason back then for the cops to pull you over for obstructive view. Actually I do think it was illegal in my state as well as some others.

They also use to pass out rewards for a crack or even rock chip in the windshield here in the state of thieves. I don't disagree with the law when it comes to large obstructions (like women's underwear), but I am of a different cut anyway.

Back when 8tracks where cool,,,I didn't know "women underwear" came in LARGE Sizes...

Nothing on the mirror but for years had an orange Union 76 Styrofoam ball on the antenna. Made it a lot easier to find the lower car in a lot.

51 years ago I won the garter at a friends wedding and hung it on the mirror. Between then and now it spent nearly 35 years in a box of parts. Its back in the car now...... not sure it will stay there once its on the road again.

My great uncle was a diesel fitter in a women’s underware factory. As they came down the line, he would pick them up for inspection and say, “deez’ll fit’er”.

Well admittingly when I had my 1st car, 57 Belair, my GF and I were going to prom....she pulled her dress up and took off her garter and hung it on the mirror. Good times.

But yeah back then cops were ticketing anything so I did not need the hassle.

Fast firward to last year. I bought a 72 C10....and the owner had matching color dice hanging from mirror. I tool them off as soon as I got the truck home

A couple of days ago I saw a lady go by in a red 56/57 T-bird with the top off and fuzzy dice on the mirror. The bird looked bone stock and with the way she was dressed and had her hair done she could have driven out of an old advertisement. That kind of stuff makes me feel old.....

I like when people do full period correct like that.

I see a lot of 50s look girls at some shows, but we need more 60s GoGo girls now, Boots, mini skirts....Nancy Sinatra style

I had a bore racoon tail hanging out of the back under the deck lid, a brown bear claw hanging from the mirror …Ted Nugent era
…..a Gene Simons doll head on the antenna, which drew a lot of attention. 😆 Hey it was the late 70s.
