this is off another forum, there doing a poll to see how much h.p. people think this car will have before he puts it on a dyno and everyone has there own opinions...
the motor:

rebuilt 4bolt 1pc rear main 088 casting block
cam is 224/230 503/510 112lsa
heads are ported 305 vortecs with ls1 vavle springs 58cc
intake is a knock off performer rpm airgap intake

the exhaust:
hedman 1 5/8 lt
2.5" dual exhaust
h pipe
dynomax super turbo mufflers

stock 350 vortecs made 245 HP/335 TQ and the 305 made 230 HP/290 TQ
both had the same cam 191/196 418/430 111Lsa
the 305 heads dont flow quite as well but the boost in compression should help a little.

i asked him what pistons he has and how far ported his heads are, lets assume there dished because of the small chamber heads. transmission is a 700 R4 with a 3500 stal l(recently re-built and bullet proof). what h.p. do you think this motor is capable of rwhp wise.

Is it stock bore?? What carb?? I think its too much cam for those heads regardless of what valve spring. What rocker ratio is on those heads. The heads and the header collector size will not let it breath. I will be surprised if its 225 at the wheels. I have a pretty sweet combo using Vortec heads from a 96' pickup. Feel free to e-mail me for the whole run down. [email protected]
