Just Bought complete parking lamp assembly's for my 69 from Ricks, Before I installed them I did a temporary hookup to make sure they would work ( they worked Fine ).

After wringing off the 7/16th nuts on the old ones I installed the new ones then the Bulbs got really loose and wouldnt make Contact. Is it possible when you install the new ones that the sockets warp some when you snug up the nuts keepint the contact from moving forward ?

I found a way to move the contact forward to work but didnt like altering the parking lamps to do so. Has anyone run into something like this before ? .

I didn´t have any probs with my parking lamps but, I did have a problem with the rear light harness. The bulbs kept working themselves loose and I would lose one light at a time. So I just pulled the contact out a little further from the base of the socket. That gives me enough pressure for the bulb to stay in place. Had no other probs than that. As mentioned, the parking lamps as well as side marker lamps required no attention at all. Hope this makes sense and hope that this is what you are looking for.
