I am kinda confused about this. I am looking at a sbc 8" balancer timing cover for one of my cars. It is dated 8 68. I thought that would mean the 8Th month august 68. But I saw a cover the other day that said it was dated as 20 9, 20Th week of 69. So, I am thinking I got it wrong since there are not 20 months in a year. So do they go by weeks or months? If so, this cover is way to early for my car. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

According to the 'Godfather" Macneish says most but not all were dated with the month (1-12) and the year (xx)

Cool, that's what I always thought. But, I was kinda wondering by the other one I just saw. So 8 68 must be Aug 68. Thanks for the help! :beers:
