I just recently bought the car i always wanted from the age of eighteen, at 18 i was working as a security guard and one day i happen to hear that my car alarm was going off, i looked up, and i realized that it was the sound or vibration of 69 camaro, ever since then i wanted one. i found what i thought was going to be a camaro that just needed a paint job and some small interior work and i would be enjoying it this summer, didnt turn out to be like that. i bought the car on ebay from a guy from florida, the car is complete and i did get a bunch of new parts in boxes but it still needs quite a bit of work, ill post pics soon and i hope i can get some good advice and tips. this site look pretty dam cool especially because of how many daily posts are made, its a very active site. well my name is john and ill be chatting with you all soon, thanks.:)

Welcome John to TC. This site is truely the best and filled with tons of info. The search function in each section is your friend. I too have a 69 and have done many things (changes, repairs, modifications, etc.) to it all from info that I have gotten from this site. Post some pics, let us know what you invision your car to be. We all have thoughts of what route everyone should go with them, but remember this is your car. If you go to the Test Drive section, and on the display options go to posts for the last 100 days, then scroll down to My car at Des Moines GoodGuys. I have pics of my car before I took it to the body shop. Again, welcome. I have family in Aliso Viejo.

Out to all my OC locals...

Anyone know of a good location to dyno-tune my Camaro?

I found a place in Mission Viejo called GRC Performance, I'll wait till morning to call them.

I think my carb/distributor needs tuning

Sorry to sound like a newb but where do I post photos at?

Try this and if it does not work go to the search function on this site and type in how do I post pictures with photo bucket. Good Luck.

you need to become a member of photobucket so you can upload pictures to the website
www.photobucket.com It is FREE!

Upload pictures to that album from Folders on your computer.

From there on the site you take the Image Code ( which is really the location of the picture on the net, " you can see these by right clicking any photo or picture on the internet --> properties, and Addrees Location is where its at )

the adress goes inbetween the

and its displays it in the post

FOr Example

This photos Address is http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r...l/P1010021.jpg

when i insert it in the image code it displays it, on photo bucket when u click the Image Code it automatically copies it then you just have to paste it with Control + V ( Control + C ) is copy but it autocopies when you click the link. or you can also paste the http:// from other picutres from finding the location like explained above Clicking the Little Mountain Icon on top of the Message Car and pasteing it there, it then adds the IMG codes it self

Thanks for the pointers but I meant, did you want me to post photos on the thread or in the "gallery". I posted a few photos in the gallery within my control panel.

I have a ton more photos on my website I created for my 68...see signature below...

You can start a thread or insert pictures where ever you want. I like seeing them in threads myself but I will check out your gallery. I normally don't go there. I wonder what the other guys do?
Yeah, it's hit and miss where everyone posts their photos. I figured it was easiest to create a site where I can pimp out my ride:

http://www.xxxreme.com

That way any questions about anything can be found in one place!

Very nice car Jon. If you have build pictures you could post a build thread. I love those the best.
Thanks Mike. Too bad you weren't down here in SoCal. I'm taking my car over to Cars & Coffee on Saturday.

The only problem is how inferior I feel when I'm parked next to Carrera GT's, 458 Italia's, Enzo's, Murcielago's, DB-9's, Tesla's and Ariel Atoms!!!

Trust me Jon they are the inferior cars as everyone on this site will confirm. It is not about how much the cars cost, just how much you love them, and this site is all about Camaro love! A lot of appreciation on this site, everything from rusted out barn finds to fully done up Pro Touring cars. Nothing is judged and nothing dismissed. Every Camaro and Camaro owner respected. You won't find a better place to hang out. Now go show those Euro poseurs who's boss! If I was in the OC we'd double Team em!
