Hello everyone,
I have a 67 RS with a 327. Just had the engine rebuilt and now I have no spark. I have current to the coil when the key is turned on. Everything is brand new, distributer, coil, cap and rotor, wires. I am sure it is in at top dead center. It is still a point setup so not much esle to replace. Any suggestions?

Thanks
Ron

OEM point set - no ground connection at dist body to intake, point set not closing as in gap too wide, point set contacts burnt, or open primary winding in coil.

Ignition on, coil high tension held off ground with a pair of insulated pliers, point set closed - lowest part of dist cam, manually open point set with fingers, open point set = spark.

Greetings from Arizona.
Did you buy complete dist? Where? I ran into problems like this with customers
car. He bought it at A__________E. It was made in China! Points and cond were no good! Put new points and cond in OLD dist. started and ran fine!
Truefully, If you want to do yourself a favor...Go electronic Ign. You can gap your plugs +10, and get better preformance and gas miliage. less headaches in long run.

if you want to retain stock look you can add it to present dist.
