I'm thinking about getting for our '69 Camaro.

15x7 Cragar SS +3mm 4 1/8 backspacing with 225/60R15 BFG Radial TA

15X8 Cragar SS -6mm 4 1/4 backspacing with 255/60R15 BFG Radial TA

The front tire would be 25.6" dia.
and the rear would be 27.1" dia.

Does this sound like a good set up? Or should I consider other sizes. I do want to stay with a 15" wheel for that old school look.
Thanks for your input Gene.

Hey Gene, wheel choice can be dicey. I've run Wheel Vintiques 30 series Ralley wheels for years without any problems. I had 15x7 in the front with only 4" BS and BFG 235-60-15's. On the rear I had the same style/brand wheel in a 15x8 with a 4.5" BS and BFG 255-60-15. I had no rubbing problems either inside or out. Andrew is probably right about the 4.75" BS.

Thanks guys. The reason I asked was that one of my new old stock Goodyears got a big bulge on the side wall. Only 200 miles on it but it was date coded from 1968. So I ordered reproduction Goodyears. Man they aint cheep. But here is how it looks. I think I'll keep it like this.
