I recently finished my 355 for my 69 Camaro. 10:1 compreesion, 202 heads, solid sig cam 510 lift 286 duration. edlebrook manifold, muncie 4 speed, 411 rear end. I have a 650 vac sec. holley on it. setting still at idle it sounds awesome and rev's great, But when driving it while letting out the clutch the engine hesitates real bad. Now I know it would be nice to put a new engine together and it run great right from the start. But I suck at tuning, Is the carb to small ? or carb just needs tuning. Timing is at 10 to 12 btdc, seems to run better advanced. What do I do ? Tony

No problem for the OP, yank the SBC, install some version of an FI LSx, you'll be good - but given the passage of 17 years this has probably already happened.
