I finally got my headlamps to work on my 69...it was a bad ground that wasnt even hooked up....the headlamps work, and I hit the high beam and suddenly noticed only the left was on high and the right was still low beam....so I hit the floor switch again and now the highs went on the other side and lows on the left....I have lights...its just that one is operating as a high beam at all times.....Im hoping for a wire got put back in the wrong postion on the connector to light bulb .....any thought?

I think you nailed it. Just make sure you switch the side that's on low beam when the dash indicator is on.
