Changing to a 7qt oil pan and need to know if to change the oil pump to a high volume pump. The pump in there right now is new {re-build 3years ago} and works fine. Changing the oil pick up is a no brainer but not sure what to do about the pump......
Engine is a 350 / with a 144 blower / only used for the street / no track....

Do a search Tony. You will find 100 threads on it. It comes down to how the engine is setup. Factory clearances won't require it. If it's set up loose for racing, then it's needed.

If your present pump has been working fine and all you are doing is changing the pan, then there is no need to change the pump. The size of the pan really has nothing to do with the pump you use, like Todd said.

my thinking was that due to the small blower {6pounds of boost} the extra volume would help with the extra torque and higher rpms. not that i hang around 6,000rpm but it does get there in a hurry.
