i'm trying to date a holley,are the 4 numbers under the list the date code?mine reads-4432-thanks any help

Better call Holley. That date code doesn't follow any Holley coding scheme I've ever heard of.

thanks,jon. went over and looked again,how about-3342-the primary metering block is stamped-10569-secondary is-6497- under that is 47771-

Your 4777-1 is a universal 650 CFM double pumper. The rebuild kit number is 37-485.

3342 means the carb was built in a year ending in 3. 73, 83, 93, 03, 13. The following 342 means it was built on the 342nd day of the year. I can't date it any closer than that.

comes up as a 68 shelby.the more coin i can get,the more i can put in a real car-my 67 SS i have had sense high school.

Actually, it's the other way around - carb was built on the 334th day of a year ending in 2 (72, 82, etc.). Through 1971, Holley date codes were three digits (year, month, week), and they changed to four digits in 1972 (Julian day, year). :thumbsup:
