Anyone here using the new Holley Terminator EFI system? I am in the process of getting the parts together to change from the 770 Avenger carb that I use on my 406 to the new Holley system. Curious if anyone here has stepped up this system and what their thoughts are as to any issues they had during installation and any problems when they started the engine the first time. I've been waiting to jump on the EFI train for sometime now and as the technology continues to evolve it looks like a good time to change over. Thanks for any input.

I've been considering a TBI system as well so will be watching. Must admit it'll be hard to pull the trigger though as my $100 carburetor and $17 fuel pump work w/o issue. I've looked at the FAST EZ 2.0, mainly because I see they sell a "base kit" that doesn't include any of the fuel system parts as I would want to buy a new tank/pump combo and run a return line. I couldn't find where Holley sold the base kit with the Terminator system, but maybe I missed it.

The Holley system doesn't include the fuel system, that is separate and you have 3 different fuel system to choose from if you choose to use one. I've started by buying a new stock fuel tank, sending unit, and Bosch fuel pump for the 3rd gen Camaro. My 82 Z came with a carb so I bought those items from Rockauto. I will still have to get fuel pressure regulator and filters and fuel system will be taken care of, my car has the fuel return lines so that will be good. I see the Holley system for just under 1900.00 a lot money to be sure and like some have said, carb is cheaper and I run a Holley 770 avenger and it has done well, but I would like to step up EFI. I down loaded the instructions to the Holley system and have been reading it to get some ideas and have also been reading the forums on the Holley web site to see what issues people have been having and there's a guy from Holley that's a moderator who's been helping them out, seems to know his EFI. Depending on who you buy the system and fuel system from you can have more than 2500.00 for a whole Holley setup which is why I went the stock parts route. I prefer to go the in tank route since tends to better for the fuel pumps and electric pumps are whole lot better at pushing than pulling and they stay cool and besides, the OE's do it that way.

As I was reading on another forum who are using the 2.0 Fast EFI and most all were having troubles and one thing I am finding out is that I am going with the Holley and I am not using the timing control feature since no matter what system people were using they were having issues with that feature. I will just use the system for the EFI only at this time. I'm not all that computer literate and I have seen that those who have kept it simple in using only for the EFI had the best luck. Besides it will keep costs down by not having to buy other items to make it work. The self learning feature is what I find intriguing about these systems and when installed properly, work great.

I got sick of waiting for my EZ EFI to "self tune" so took it in to have it dyno tuned. The tech diden't dish on EZ EFI but said the Holley was an easier system to work with...

That's interesting, I've been gathering parts, bought a new fuel tank that will accommodate the stock type in tank fuel pump along with new fuel sending unit with lines all made for a 91 Camaro with fuel injection. I will go to Summit and buy the fuel pressure regulator and the Holley pressure transducer that will plug into Holley wire harness and show the fuel pressure through the hand held display instead of using a mechanical gauge. Then I will be ready to buy the Holley Terminator to replace the carb. I will just use the EFI and at this point won't use it for timing control, just fuel. I've been reading about how many people have had troubles getting timing synced up, so for now just use it for the fuel.

Just an update, I have ordered the Holley Terminator system, got their pressure sensor, and a Summit regulator. About the only thing left is fuel lines if I decide to go with braided from the tank or use the stock lines that are there. Been doing a lot reading about the system and looking forward to getting started on the project hopefully in April. I will keep you updated when it is installed and hopefully running.

I had all intentions of buying the MSD Atomic unit until the Holley guys sold me on their Terminator at an event this past weekend. I really needed scalability to support a future upgrade to forced induction and this one had it. So after 18 months of research on just about every system out there I picked it up and can't wait to start installing this in a few weeks once I get my fuel system upgrade components in.
